Lovin' Longhorns

Amazingly beautiful animals, amazingly dedicated young folks, and so many hearts full of passion, consideration for others, and more than a little hard work by these kiddos makes for a true blessing to experience.

So very tired from the weekend, but I was so glad to be a part of it all!

What's on Your Sketchpad?

Good Morning to a Great Day!  God let me get up, so it's going to be a great one!

So, here I am with my cup of creamer mixed with a little coffee wishing I had time to work in my craftroom, but with my dad still in the hospital and our schedule overflowing, it just isn't in the game plan right now.  I do however, have some moments to doodle.  In my 100 day challenge to myself, I seem to doodle more than journal...does that make me a doodle brain????  Anyway, I thought I would throw out the question today to my fellow artists - What's in your sketchpad this week?  I generally don't sketch the art project I'm working on...yes, I know that's what the sketchpad is for, right?  Mine just happens to be a doodle book - random doodles from my brain...

Hmmm....let's see...silly monster in shorts....dragonfly....I wonder what my brain is telling me????  Well, I'll just hope there are no psycho-analists in the group!

What's in your Sketchpad????

Take on the day with a challenge-  Be a fruit bearer.  Bless someone else today.

Have You Ever Noticed...

Have you ever noticed the beauty in a Mason jar?  I walked into my pantry and smiled.  I've always loved them.  I have shelves of them.  There's just something about them that warms my heart.  Today's plastic containers just can't compare to their simple, yet classic, design.  I've begun a 100 day challenge of sorts with myself.  I'll do some explaining along the way, but for now, I thought I'd share some vintage style with you.

What vintage item makes you smile?

Good Morning World!

I just wanted to drop in this morning and remind you to stop and inventory God's handiwork this morning!  You will be amazed!  It's been quiet around here lately with my dad's health problems.  I want to thank everyone for their continued prayer and the help you have provided for us with him.  God just keeps shakin' out the blessings!  I hope you have a day so full of them, you can't count them all!

Luke 6:38

38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
